Pricing
The cost of a new system consists of the required hardware, third party software, Sapient license, configuration and installation, training, and ongoing monthly software maintenance. Support is provided to customers with current software maintenance. This page deals with the pricing of the Sapient license and the monthly software maintenance fee.
The Sapient license fee is based on the number of retail or patient-serving locations using the system. Furthermore, there is a discount for sites with only one or two workstations. Administrative and lab users are included with the first site. This information is entered into a program which then gives the license fee and the ongoing software maintenance fee, which is a function of the license fee. The basis for these calculations is $8000 for site one, with number of sites and site size then being factored in.
A new method of using the Sapient Healthcare System consists of a private database stored at our office, with secure access being provided via the Internet to practice locations. This option reduces the up-front hardware and third-party software needed at the practice location. The costs include a database setup fee and a per PC setup fee. Training must be quoted and can be performed by telephone, on location, or at our office. Ongoing monthly software maintenance fees are based on what the license fee would have been if the license had been purchased. If, in the future, a customer desires to bring their database in-house on their own server, the existing database will be transferred to the newly licensed Sapient system on the customer's own server.
